About:
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is a premier institution of education, training and research in the area of International Business set up by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India.
Role:
Professor of Practice
Qualifications:
Candidate must have exemplary professional practice and may be exempted from the requirement of publications and other eligibility criteria stipulated for the recruitment of faculty members at the Professor level. However, they should possess the skills to carry out the duties and responsibilities specified below. (A formal academic qualification is not considered essential for this position)
1. Candidate must have industrial/ professional experience of at least 15 years or more at
Senior managerial level.
2. Candidate must have specialist knowledge in the domain expertise that will complement the faculties available within IIFT and be able to bring practice-oriented teaching/ research frameworks into the classroom.
3. Candidate must be an Indian citizen and not more than 65 years on the date of application.
Responsibilities:
1. Involve in the development and designing of courses and curriculum.
2. Introduce new innovative courses and deliver lectures in the Institute’s training/ research programmes.
3. Encourage students in innovation and entrepreneurship projects & provide necessary mentorship for these activities.
4. Focus on enhanced industry-academia collaborations.
5. Conduct jointly in collaboration with faculty members of the Institute workshops/ seminars/
research & consultancy projects.
