About:
Carnegie India, the sixth international center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, opened in April 2016 in New Delhi.
Role:
Carnegie India is inviting applications for a Research Analyst/ Senior Research Analyst to join the Political Economy program in New Delhi. The Political Economy program studies the role of the Indian state in the economy – especially in areas such as capital and financial markets, public finance, regulatory governance, and land markets and urbanization. Scholars in the program conduct and publish research, write regularly on contemporary issues, and organise seminars and other events on issues of contemporary relevance to the Indian political economy.
Requirements:
- The selected candidate will be expected to work full-time out of the Carnegie India office in Delhi. The Research Analyst/ Senior Research Analyst will be expected to support the work of the scholars in the program, and to conduct and publish their own research on areas of interest to the program. The Research Analyst/ Senior Research Analyst will also be expected to handle administrative responsibilities related to the overall functioning of the program.
- Candidates must demonstrate the requisite qualifications and aptitude for the areas of work described above. A master’s degree in economics, public policy, law, or a related discipline is required. Candidates must have at least 4-5 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with research publications will be preferred.
