About:
The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think tank doing legal research and assisting the government in making better laws. Vidhi is committed to producing legal research of the highest standard with the aim of informing public debate and contributing to improved governance. Vidhi works with Ministries of the Government of India and State Governments, as well as other public institutions, providing research and drafting support at various stages of law-making. Vidhi also conducts and freely disseminates independent research in areas of legal reform which it believes is critical to India’s future.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in law;
- At least 2-4 years of demonstrable work experience in the domain of financial regulation and/or technology;
- Excellent legal research and writing skills;
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with specialization in financial regulatory and technology laws.
Responsibilities:
The Fellow will work as an integral part of the Law, Finance and Development Team at Vidhi and will be required to undertake research, analysis and legislative drafting for engaged projects as well as independent projects taken on by Vidhi at its own behest. She/he will be expected to work on engaged projects with the Government of India and commissions by providing research and drafting support at various stages of law-making, primarily in the area of financial regulation. The fellow will also work on independent projects on critical legal issues relating to financial regulation, inclusion and technology, where she/he will endeavor to propose reforms to existing laws, thereby intending to have a significant impact in the development of such laws. The expected output from the research work will be in the form of research reports, draft legislations and regulations and articles.
