Senior Associate General Counsel
Area:
Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Contract
Qualification:
- At least 13+ years’ experience, preferably at a top law firm and/or in-house
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of other disciplines across multiple regions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and clients
- Law Degree (e.g., in the U.S., the Juris Doctor degree)
- Understanding of the legal and business aspects of licensing data, including regulated data, alternative data, indexes, financial information, software and/or technology products and services
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for complex commercial transactions
- The ability to analyze complex contracts and effectively communicate with internal clients
- Knowledge of intellectual property and data privacy/data security
Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance and supervision of senior legal team members, a typical day will include
- Draft, review, analyze and negotiate a variety of commercial and licensing agreements, including data, content, indexes, technology transactional agreements
- Work closely with sales, operations and product teams to ensure Company objectives are met
- Provide legal guidance and support to their internal businesses and operations around the world including licensing, technology and commercial legal advice.
- Keep up to date and provide guidance on regulations that impact Nasdaq products and services
- Representing (without close supervision from senior lawyers) the company’s positions in commercial matters.
