Senior Associate-Paralegal
Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in law required.
- Any other certifications in finance or markets are an added advantage.
- Work experience of 4 to 8 years in negotiating traded market documentation, contract management, e-discovery, legal remediation, legal abstraction, and legal research.
- Prior experience with Investment Banks, financial services industry, legal processing outsourcing, law firm experience in contract negotiation required.
- Should have legal background and strong knowledge of contract clauses.
- Proficient in MS Office Tools and the use of online tools and repositories.
- Experience in working on CLM and e-discovery platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and thorough.
- Ability to cope with pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to plan, organize and deliver results within tight timeframes.
- Ability to work collaboratively on group projects and independently on individual assignments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Work as mentor and team player.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating standard/non-standard & customer paper contracts, amendments, schedules, SOWs, purchase orders, exhibits etc.
- Reviewing traded market documentation, trade Confirmations, F&O Agreements, notice addendums & client agreements.
- Perform document review in e-discovery or litigation support projects.
- End-to-end contract life cycle management and preparing obligation matrix, revenue reorganization reports and MIS reports.
- Handling client negotiations and any related projects to ensure timely execution and completion.
- Performing quality checks, attend commercial calls, preparing meeting minutes and handle escalations on a regular basis.
- Advanced knowledge of finance-based contracts, derivative business and exposure towards European/Asian/US markets is an advantage.
- Supervising the work of junior colleagues and act as a SME on various subject matters.
- Preparing weekly dashboards to internal stakeholders and clients.
