Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Law while a master’s degree in Law is preferred.
- Candidates should have an impressive record of academic achievement along with four years of experience, including experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts
- Candidates familiar with trading agreements will be preferred
- The ideal candidate should possess superior organizational and analytical ability, outstanding judgment, a keen attention to detail, and proven drafting, communication, and project management skills
Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll review and negotiate data and software license agreements and technology agreements. You’ll be reviewing a variety of trading agreements and documentation. You’ll be required to review, draft, and negotiate agreements for goods and services, consulting agreements, event contracts, engagement letters and non-disclosure agreements with potential counterparties and vendors. Additionally, you’ll also get the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys in other offices of the D. E. Shaw group on various agreements and miscellaneous projects.
