Qualifications:
- A law degree from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal and compliance role, preferably in a regulated company and/or a startup
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations and industry standards relevant to crypto and web3 industry.
- Experience in the crypto industry is preferred
- Excellent organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal and regulatory issues to both legal and non-legal audiences
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of legal and compliance professionals
- Should have experience in IP matters – Brand Trademark, Patents etc.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire Legal and Compliance Team for Liminal at a Group Level.
- Develop, implement and maintain legal and compliance policies and procedures
- Manage all legal and compliance-related activities for the company, including contract management and dispute resolution
- Ensure that all business operations are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
- Keep the company informed of all legal and compliance-related issues and developments, and provide advice and guidance as necessary
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, external counsel and other relevant parties
- Work closely with other departments and teams within the company to ensure that legal and compliance considerations are taken into account in all business decisions
- Identify and manage legal risks, and provide advice on how to mitigate those risks
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s operations and products, and stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments that may impact the company
- This candidate will be the Director of our Indian entities.
