Job Brief & Responsibilities:
We are looking to hire a contracts specialist who will provide legal support to all aspects of Zetwerk businesses in India and its group companies in different locations across India and abroad – ranging from commercial, manufacturing, compliance, operations, procurement, finance and corporate activities. He / She will be responsible for legal drafting all kinds of commercial contracts, corporate advisory, compliance and litigation. This role is an individual contributor role which may in future turn into a managerial position.
- End-to-end contracts management and advisory on commercial transactions.
- Position would work closely with commercial team, business units and other functions on a broad range of commercial and legal matters.
- Advisory: Candidate would be expected to provide pragmatic and commercially focused advise to business teams and other functions on wide array of activities.
- Contract Drafting and Contracts Process Management:
- Structuring, drafting, vetting, reviewing, negotiating and management of varied commercial contracts such as manufacturing services agreements, supply agreements, consortium agreements, EPC contracts, employment agreement and documents.
- Drafting, updating and improving templates of varied standard agreements.
- End-to-end Contract Management (drafting, vetting, negotiation, execution and retention etc.)
- Deep understanding of the laws including in particular laws relevant for contract review such as the Contracts Act, Sale of Goods Act, Transfer of Property etc.
- Identify contract and commercial risks, issues and propose appropriate mitigation strategies or solutions for approvals.
- Maintain Contracts management report.
Key Requirements:
- 2+ years of post qualification experience in contract drafting, negotiations, tender reviews etc. preferably from construction/engineering sector, service industry. Prior litigation and law firm experience would be an added advantage.
- Qualified LLB, preferably from a Tier 1 law school.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Good drafting skills, having hands on experience on Contracts and Litigations.
- Demonstrated ability to create/provide proactive strategies/solutions for internal clients.
- Capacity to handle complexity and manage priorities within agreed timelines
- Strong professional ethics
- Team player
- Willingness to be “hands-on”
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – Capacity to handle multicultural environment and people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking.
