About the platform:
OpenNyAI is a mission aimed at developing open source software and datasets to catalyze the creation of AI-powered solutions to improve access to justice in India.
About the challenge:
The OpenNyAI Make-a-thon is an eight week online challenge for lawyers, engineers, professionals and students to work together to build applications that use cutting edge AI to improve legal services and access to justice.
Highlights:
- Teams will be supported by expert members from IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, NLS Bangalore among others to help build their applications.
- Grants up to Rs 5 lakhs awarded to the three best teams.
Role:
As a team, you will be building your solutions on top of pretrained AI models which include capabilities for OCR, rhetorical roles recognition, named entity recognition, translation and transcription among others.
Eligibility:
- The Make-a-thon is open to all above the age of 18.
- You may register individually or as a team.
- Make sure your team has at least one lawyer and one engineer.
- If you register individually, we will pair you up with other individuals to form a team.
