About AIBE
AIBE is a national-level examination conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to assess whether provisionally enrolled advocates or fresh law graduates have the aptitude to practice law.
AIBE is an objective type examination conducted by the BCI with an objective to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the noble profession of law in India.
Once an advocate is enrolled with any State Bar Council, the candidate needs to pass the AIBE within 2 years from the date of enrollment within the concerned state bar council. After clearing AIBE, the candidate’s license to practice law becomes valid for lifetime.
All law graduates need to clear the All India Bar Examination in order to get permanent license to practice law in India. The exam was first conducted in the year 2011 and is now conducted bi-annually.
