About:

Location:
Ministry of External Affairs (South Block/Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan/Sushma Swaraj Bhawan/Patiala House/ISIL Building/CCS Building), New Delhi.
Qualification:
- The applicant should only be an Indian national.
- The applicant should be a lawyer and should have a Graduate degree in law (LLB) from a reputed recognized institution from India or abroad with specialization in drafting of legislation.
- The applicant should have experience in working for the Government, with legal background and having knowledge in International law, International legal affairs including sound knowledge of diplomatic norms and processes.
- Preference will be given to lawyers with 5 years degree in law.
- The applicant should have work experience of a minimum 7 years of practice at the High Court level, with a minimum 5 years of experience in drafting and amendment of legislative and policy matters.
- The applicant should be in the age group of 30-45 years as on the last date of submission of application and should be of sound health.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in Supreme Court.
- Diploma in Immigration law/Constitution matters
Responsibilities:
- Vetting of pleadings, affidavits and replies to legal notices pertaining to Regional Passport Offices in India and Missions/Posts abroad.
- Monitoring/tracking of deadlines of High Court/Supreme Court notices pertaining to Passport Issuing Authorities (RPO/Missions/Posts).
- Co-ordination with Central Government Counsels for timely filing of replies or appeals by concerned Passport Issuing Agencies (RPO/Missions/Posts).
- Preparation of summaries of cases for perusal/advice by concerned Passport Issuing Agencies (RPO/Missions/Posts).
