About:
It was in the early post independence era that, HMT began in a small way to meet a big commitment;
‘To manufacture mother machines to build modern industrial India‘.
HMT was conceived by the Government of India in 1949, and was incorporated in 1953, with the objective of producing a limited range of machine tools, required for building an industrial edifice for the country.
Role:
Consultant (Legal)
Location:
HMT Limited, Corporate Head Office, Bengaluru
Qualification:
LL.B. from a recognized University/College/Institute with a good academic record. LL.M. is desirable.
Responsibilities:
Ø Manage the Legal Department, Documentation, and Support Services department effectively.
Ø Proficiency in dealing with all regulatory authorities.
Ø Interact with advocates / law firms handling company/ employee related cases, attending court related issues, to take appropriate legal action for various cases, conducting eviction related proceedings and other legal matters of the Company.
Ø Draft and vet all documents pertaining to financial agreements, Collaboration Agreements, License/Lease Agreements and ensure all legal aspects.
Ø Track the status of court cases, review ongoing cases and advice management accordingly. Ø Representing the company before various Courts and Tribunals as and when required.
Ø Responding to legal notices received by the organization from various parties etc
