About:
Simply Legal by Ritambhara Singh is a Mumbai-based law practice founded in 2024 by Ritambhara Singh, Advocate, Bombay High Court.
Role:
Associate- Media & Entertainment (Non-Litigation)
Location:
Andheri West, Mumbai. In-office role.
Qualification:
– 1 to 3 years PQE, with meaningful exposure to media, entertainment or IP transactional work (in-house or law firm)
– Strong drafting; comfortable owning a document end to end
– Working knowledge of the Copyright Act and industry practice in film and OTT deals
– Organised, responsive and able to manage multiple client matters at once
Responsibilities:
– Drafting and negotiating production, talent, writer, music, distribution, licensing and barter agreements for films, OTT, television and digital content
– Chain-of-title reviews, rights clearances and IP advisory
– Commercial contracts and corporate advisory for production houses, broadcasters and media companies
– Supporting client calls and negotiations with counterparties
