Qualification:
• Strong knowledge of trademark law and practice, with substantive hands-on
experience in prosecution and contentious matters.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of matters and coordinate independently with clients.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• 3-4 years of experience
• Proactive, detail-orientated and solution-focused approach to work.
• Strong team player with a collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
• Handling the full spectrum of trademark prosecution work, from filing through
registration and post-registration proceedings.
• Conducting and reviewing trademark clearance searches and advising on availability and registrability.
• Preparing responses to examination reports.
• Handling oppositions, cancellations/rectifications and other contentious trademark proceedings.
• Appearing and arguing matters at hearings before the Trade Marks Office.
• Liaising with the Trade Marks Registry and other relevant authorities in connection with ongoing matters.
• Independently coordinating with clients, understanding their requirements and providing timely and practical advice.
• Assisting with copyright filings and hearings before the Copyright Office.
