Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from a reputable institution;
- Minimum PQE of 2 years as an associate in a law firm;
- Excellent knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide effective legal advice;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate legal arguments and complex concepts clearly and concisely; and
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters, with a focus on Real Estate, Consumer Litigation, Banking and Finance Litigation, PoSH, Commercial litigation;
- Conduct legal research and analysis, prepare legal opinions, and advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes;
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, petitions, applications, briefs, and appeals;
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations, effectively presenting arguments and advocating on their behalf;
- Commercial Contracts: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legally binding agreements on behalf of the client;
- Deal Management: Conducting due diligence, drafting, negotiating and closing deals. Collaborate closely with business partners to resolve all legal issues and mitigate liability risks; and
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress, advising on risks and potential resolutions, and addressing their concerns.
