About:

Qualification:
The applicant should only be an Indian national.
· The applicant should have LLB degree from a recognized university in India or abroad.
· The applicant should possess fluency in English.
· The applicant should be well versed with the use of computer, internet etc.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in legal field.
· The applicant should not be more than 40 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Expertise in contract law, litigation, dispute resolution especially in handling construction, real estate and infrastructure related matters.
• Previous experience of work relating to legal contractual matters, arbitration
Responsibilities:
• To act as single window advisor for all ongoing and prospective arbitration and litigation matters dealt with by GEM Division.
• Liaising with lawyers and arbitrators, and assisting in preparation of legal replies in court matters.
• Attending court hearings and preparing records of the hearing.
• To maintain a status report of all ongoing court cases and track the dates of next hearing etc. to suitably alert the officials concerned.
• Examination of various agreements signed by the Govt. of India with external Contractors/Consultants etc. and to provide legal opinion on these agreements.
• Offering guidance on compliance with international & domestic legal requirements relevant to infrastructure projects.
• Vetting of proposed lease or sale purchase agreements.
• Supporting the Division in risk assessment and mitigation on legal and contractual issues.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Division
