Role:
Corporate Lawyer
Location:
National Capital Region/Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida only
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law from a recognized university, preferably a national law school
- 6-8 years of experience with a company or a law firm in a similar area of practice.
- Registered with the Bar Council of India
- Proficiency and fluency in English and Hindi/a regional language.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate, business, commercial and labor laws
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team
Responsibilities:
- Provide sound legal counsel whenever needed
- Curate and review legal paperwork and documentation that protect and support the company’s interests while adhering to corporate compliance laws
- Work with external law firms and lawyers engaged by the organization for its various activities.
- Improvise and oversee the company policies on legal affairs periodically as the company attorney
- Guide the management team and stakeholders on the legal directions to take
- Ensure that all paperwork (agreements, MOUs, leases, employment contracts, policies) are in line with prevailing laws and in the best interests of the organization.
- Guide the organization whilst dealing with all transactional matters related to finances, human resources and external stakeholders.
- Undertake and perform in-depth legal research for partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.
