IP Counsel Specialist

Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of IP Law (India, EU, US)
- Hands-on experience with Patent Prosecution with Indian Patent Office and other important jurisdiction
- Hands-on experience with Prior Art Searches
- Invention Harvesting and Invention Development in Hi-tech domain including but not limited to AI, AR/VR, Cloud Computing, SW Platforms, SoC, A/V Processing etc.
- Strong background in creating patent maps, landscapes, claim charts
- Experience with work directly with inventors
- Awareness of IP Audits, Finance and Taxation matters
- Aware of IP clauses in multi-party legal contracts
- Excellent presentation and communication skills Minimum ,5 years of experience in field of intellectual property
- Minimum 2 year experience as in-house patent attorney
Preferred Qualification
- BE/B Tech from Tier-1 University in field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics
- Registered Patent Agent in India
- Excellent command on MS Office tools like word, excel, power point
Responsibilities:
- Working with business leaders, technical leaders and engineers to develop strong IP portfolio for the organization
- Work both as in individual contributor and leaders for various IP related matters
- Handling complete end-to-end IP lifecycle starting from Generation, Registration, Prosecution, and Maintenance
- Guiding research teams to identify potential IP in their regular work
- Working closely with R&D Teams to generate ideas and invention disclosure, conduct ideation sessions, workshops, events to generate high quality ideas
- Working with outside counsels to ensure quality of patent filings
- Perform various checks to prevent leakage of IP, checks on Open Source contributions, Research Publication etc.
- Responsible for overall IP Portfolio and budgeting of IP Operations
- Able to work flexibly with supports teams like Finance, Process, HR, Legal etc.
- Able to work in multicultural environment with global teams and build lasting relationships
- Consulting R&D Teams to minimize 3rd party exposure and guide them in designing around
- Generate IP intelligence reports like white space, landscapes to support research teams
- Organize regular training sessions to sensitize engineers about various IP issues
