About:
Pegasus Assets Reconstruction Private Limited (Pegasus) is one of the first few and fastest growing private sector company registered with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as an Assets Reconstruction Company (ARC) under section 3 of the Securitisation And Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act, 2002.
Role:
Legal Associate/Officer – Asset Recovery
Location:
Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata
Qualification:
• Education: LLB or equivalent law degree.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of the SARFAESI Act, 2002, RDDB Act, Transfer of Property Act, NI Act (Sec 138) and RBI guidelines.
• Experience:1–2 years (Freshers/Entry-level)
• Skills: Strong legal drafting skills, analytical aptitude for property documents, and good communication skills.
• Attributes: Proactive, willing to travel, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• SARFAESI Proceedings: Assisting in the end-to-end SARFAESI process, including issuing 13(2) demand notices, preparing 13(4) possession notices and publishing auction notices.
• Document Drafting & Vetting: Drafting demand notices, replies to borrower queries and affidavits, as well as vetting legal documents related to mortgage creation.
• Liaison with Authorities: Coordinating with police stations, District Magistrates (DM) or Chief Metropolitan Magistrates (CMM) for obtaining physical possession of secured assets under Section 14.
• Legal MIS Maintenance: Maintaining accurate records, case trackers and MIS reports regarding the status of litigations and NPA recoveries.
• Court Coordination: Assisting in litigation proceedings at the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), consumer forums or local civil courts.
• Auction Process Support: Coordinating the auction, sale and liquidation of secured properties.
