Role:
Legal Counsel
Qualifications:
● Qualification- LLB / B.A. LLB
● 4-5 years work experience in a similar role
● English language proficiency, both spoken and written, will be an important criteria
● Should have experience working in a start-up kind of chaotic and high energy culture
● Prior in-house legal role preferred (over law-firm experience), but not a deal breaker.
Responsibilities:
● Contract drafting, reviewing and negotiating for the Company as well as its group entities
● Helping the Company and the internal stakeholders as well as its group entities with legal advice on various substantive law issues and impact of new laws and regulation on the business of the Company as well as its group entities
● Draft and discuss template agreements / LOIs / terms sheets / terms of use / privacy policy and other online terms with the legal team and the internal stakeholders
● Assign and discuss contracts with the external counsels of the Company as well as its group entities
● Assist in contract management and create contract MIS (signings, expiry etc.)
● Assist in analyzing and breaking down complex legal issues for the business and helping the business to make informed decisions
● Assign and discuss contracts with the external counsels of the Company as well as its group entities
● Generally, be a part of the legal team and assist with such items as may be delegated from time to time at a team level.
