Legal Counsel Head
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15 years+
- Qualification Background: LLM
- Should have exposure of handling Legal Court Matters, Dealing with External Panel of Advocates, contracts etc.
- Excellent knowledge of all the corporate laws including Companies Act, RBI compliance, etc.
- Good contract drafting skills.
- Preferred Industry : Consumer Durable, Consumer Services, QSR, Real Estate, Retail, Big 4 legal consultancy etc
Responsibilities:
- To carryout internal analysis of existing processes to identify the gaps and develop robust legal systems, processes, SOP for centralized Legal Dept.
- Litigation – Deal with all matters related to Litigation, Arbitrations, court cases, running cases customer complaints/protection related litigation and coordinate with outside Counsel for the same. Periodically present status and prepare the control document.
- Contract management – Lead team for efficient delivery of drafting, reviewing, negotiating, vetting contracts, and various types of legal documents including financial, purchase contracts, RFPs, LOI, MOUs, NDA, RFI, lease, license, commercial contract, client or partner contracts , M&A & regular business contracts. These could include both domestic and international agreements.
- Reporting – Share the updates with the management and BOD for all cases. Keep track of all legal cases and coordinate hearings.
- Negotiation – Leading negotiations on complex, high value, contracts, and agreements, Land agreements etc.
Business Partner – Advisor to the company on all legal matters including commercial laws, IPR, medico legal, labour and other relevant laws.
