Role:
Principal Associate – Corporate Litigation
Qualifications:
Working Knowledge of Acts/ Subjects required (Must):
Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Companies Act, SARFAESI Act, Recovery of Debts and Bankruptcy Act, Civil Procedure Code, Transfer of Property Act, Specific Relief Act, Constitution of India, Limitation Act, Registration Act, Stamp Act, etc.
Working Experience of Nature of Cases/ Assignments (Must):
Section 7/9/10 and other matters under IBC, S. 19 under RDBI Act, S. 17 under SARFAESI Act, Appeals before NCLAT and DRAT, Article 226 and 227 matters before High Courts, Civil Appeals and SLPs before Supreme Court, etc.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelors/ Masters in Law with at least 6 years experience in independent practice/ chamber/ law firm
- Candidates from Commerce background or with knowledge of analysis of financial statements shall be preferred
- Experience of independent appearance before Courts/ Tribunals at Delhi
- In-depth knowledge of Procedural laws and court practice
- Proficient research skills and IT skills
- Knowledge of research tools such as Manupatra, SCC Online
- Proficient drafting skills are must
- Skill to research case-laws, facts and material facts till desired results met
- Ability to take onus and end to end responsibility of matters and clients
- Knack of keeping updated with latest case laws, amendments, government policies, etc.
- Eye for minute details
- Out of the box thinking approach to devise strategies in complex legal matters
- Excellent command over language
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Confidence and ability to independent handle matters

Responsibilities:
- The present role is for a practising advocate who has a dedicated experience in litigation and disputes resolution over varied matters involving Insolvency, Banking and Corporate Laws before DRT, DRAT, NCLT, NCLAT, HCs and Supreme Court of India.
- Role is suited for advocates working with Litigation Chambers or Law Firms.
- Role shall not be suitable for in-house counsels/ advocates with only corporate experience.
- Drafting of pleadings, deeds, applications, etc.
- Devising legal strategies
- Arguments and appearance
- Oversee filings and management of case records
- Legal Research
- Engaging and briefing Senior Advocates
- Participating in team building
- Collaborating with cross functional teams as well as other practice areas
- Maintaining MIS of records and finance
- Coordinating with team of Associates, Trainees, Clerks, etc.
