About:
NLSIU was the first National Law University established in India in 1986. The premier law school was set up with a mission to pioneer legal education reforms, and to anchor the transformation of the Indian legal system through research and policy interventions.
Role:
Project Assistant – Witness Protection Scheme in Karnataka
Location:
Bengaluru (with travel across Karnataka)
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in law, social sciences, public policy, criminology, or allied disciplines
Experience:
Open to graduates with relevant qualifications
Duration:
Until December 2025
Salary:
Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 60,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Responsibilities:
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate four stakeholder consultations (Belagavi, Udupi, Mysuru, and Bengaluru)
· Prepare briefing notes, interview protocols, and reading material for consultations
· Liaise with stakeholders including police, judiciary, KSLSA, NALSA, NGOs, etc.
· Collect and organize data; contribute to drafting the Stakeholder Analysis & Outcome Document
· Maintain monthly progress and expenditure reports
· Ensure compliance with NLSIU procurement and HSF reporting norms
· Manage internal approvals, invoicing, and reimbursements
· Support research and administrative tasks as needed
