Role:
Meta is looking for a Public Policy Manager to join its Public Policy Team based out of Gurgaon. The team’s mission is to lead Meta’s engagement with policy makers and other policy stakeholders in India. This person will support on public policy and regulatory engagements with stakeholders on e-commerce and payments related issues. In this role, you will develop thinking on key policy regulation issues that impact the future of the Internet at one of the world’s leading Internet companies. The ideal candidate will be a recognised expert in issues related to e-commerce and payments. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve. This is a full-time position located at our office in Gurgaon, India.
Responsibilities:
Public Policy Manager, Commerce and Payments, India Responsibilities:
- Engage with local and global Meta teams on e-commerce and payments related public policy matters by keeping them well informed of the ground reality and also provide input/ feedback to the respective teams towards development of relevant products, services and policies.
- Enhance engagement with industry associations on e-commerce and payments related issued, including participating in meetings, articulating positions, and preparing readouts.
- Represent Meta in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including government stakeholders, on issues related to e-commerce and payments
- Support industry events and roundtables.
- Prepare briefing papers and consultation responses.
- Plan and execute research activities on relevant regulatory issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Business, Economics or related field
- Experience of working for 8+ years in the public policy space, related to e-commerce and payments, including with government stakeholders and/ or entities, and handling projects
- Knowledge of regulations and policy issues, including technology issues, related to e-commerce and payments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher qualification (Post Graduation/ PhD)
- Experience in working at a global e-commerce or payments company
- Track record of communicating on tech policy issues
