About:
NLSIU was the first National Law University established in India in 1986. The premier law school was set up with a mission to pioneer legal education reforms, and to anchor the transformation of the Indian legal system through research and policy interventions.
Consequently, the NLSIU was one of the first institutions in the country to introduce the five-year integrated law degree at the undergraduate level with the commencement of the first batch in 1988.
And for over 30 years now, the University has irrefutably remained a leader in the field of legal education in the country. This long-standing record has been possible due to the strong collaborations between legal academics, the Bar, the Bench and the State Government of Karnataka.
Role:
Research Assistant
Qualifications:
Candidates with a Law Degree from a recognised University are eligible to apply.
In addition, the candidate must have:
- Prior research and writing experience
- Ability to meticulously use different legal research databases
- Interest in Health Law and/or Constitutional Law
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to work in a team, contributing to both team and individual goals
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Coordinator and other team members in conducting literature reviews, curating relevant cases and materials, researching on contemporary themes and writing short notes/comments/pieces on issues looking at the intersection of health and law
- Assist in preparing and conducting the Workshop on Law and Health
This is a full-time role, based out of the NLSIU campus in Bangalore and will report to the Project Coordinator.
