Role:
Senior Manager – Legal
Qualifications:
- Banking and fintech experience would be preferred.
- Prior in-house or start up experience will be an additional advantage.
- Business savvy – Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality
- Experience with corporate governance issues and corporate secretarial duties
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations issued by RBI pertaining to businesses.
- 2 – 6years practice with an established law firm having handled NBFC/ Banking clients or with any NBFC/ fintech company
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiation of loan agreements/documents, secured and unsecured loan, security documents, guarantee deeds, trustee agreements, escrow agreements, consortium documents and other financing documents
- Review and negotiation of treasury documentation i.e., bank and non-bank financial company borrowings
- Rendering legal opinion on several provisions under the Companies Act, 2013 and RBI regulations
- Revamp of standard documentation from time to time to cater to the changing legal landscape
- Analysis of new and amended laws and regulations and their applicability to various departments within the organization.
- Managing the regulatory/compliance aspects of the company’s business and taking proactive decisions and recommending appropriate actions to the company’s leadership.
