The Public Service Commission, West Bengal conducts the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination, 2021 in accordance with the existing rules for recruitment to the posts in West Bengal Judicial Service.

Eligibility
In order to sit for this exam, the eligibility requires as follows:
- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
- He must have accomplished a bachelor degree in law from a recognized institute or university.
- The age of the applicants must not exceed 21 years.
- The maximum age of the candidates must not be more than 32 years.
- The candidates of the reserved category will be given suitable relaxation in their upper age.
- The upper age relaxation for the candidates of the SC and ST category will be 5 years.
- Candidates of the OBC category will be offered the upper age relaxation of 3 years.
Format, Pattern And Syllabus
There will be three stages of the West Bengal Civil Services (Judicial) Exam, the pre-exam, Main exam, and the interview.
PRE-EXAMINATION
The details of the pre-examination have been given in the following table.

MAIN EXAM
The West Bengal Civil Services (Judicial) Main examination will consist of 8 compulsory papers. In addition to that, candidates will have to choose 3 optional subjects from the list given below. Each compulsory and Optional paper will carry 100 marks and will be of three hours’ duration.

- The Indian Constitution and Constitutional Law
INTERVIEW
The last part of the examination process will be an interview. Candidates will be eligible to appear for the interview only if they succeed the pre and main examination.
