Role:
The firm is hiring for the post of IP Associate.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
- Mandatory experience of 5+ years exclusively in an IP law firm
- Excellent language skills in English, both written and verbal;
- Smart worker, organized and tech-savvy;
- Ability to work independently and to take own initiatives;
- Self-starter, ready to work in the entrepreneurial atmosphere is must;
- A team player with strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Computer skills with the knowledge to use Excel/MS Word etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing routine prosecution of trademark, designs and copyright portfolio of the firm
- Reviewing drafts of responses to Examination Reports and other office actions issued by Trade Marks Registry and attending hearings
- Preparing and filing Responses to Notifications of Provisional Refusal to International Registrations Designating India issued by the Trade Marks Registry under the Madrid Protocol
- Responding to clients’ queries on clearance searches, new filings, opposition and enforcement of trademarks and designs, and drafting and reviewing of Cease and Desist letters, undertakings, opposition pleadings, Assignment Deeds
- Advising clients & filing domain name disputes under UDRP and INDRP
- Drafting settlement agreements, assignment and license agreements, etc.
- Providing pre-litigation support such as conducting online investigations, issuing legal notices, compiling evidence etc.
