Role:
The firm is looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Legal and Compliance department based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll review and negotiate data and software license agreements and technology agreements. You’ll be reviewing a variety of agreements in support of the firm’s trading strategies. You’ll also provide assistance to ensure adherence with ISDA protocols, give-up agreements, SIA 151 execution agreements and related trading agreements/documentation. You’ll be required to review, draft and negotiate agreements for goods and services, consulting agreements, event contracts, engagement letters and non-disclosure agreements with potential counterparties and vendors. Additionally, you’ll also get the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys in other offices of the D. E. Shaw group on various agreements and miscellaneous projects.
Who they’re Looking For:
- The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Law while a master’s degree in Law is preferred
- Candidates should have an impressive record of academic achievement along with three to four years of experience, including experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts
- Candidates familiar with trading agreements will be preferred
- The ideal candidate should possess superior organizational and analytical ability, outstanding judgment, a keen attention to detail, and proven drafting, communication, and project management skills.
