- SC extended the right to safe and legal abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy to unmarried and single women, saying it is the “right of every woman to make reproductive choices without undue interference from the State”.
- According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India’s forex reserves have fallen by USD 110 billion in the last 13 months.
- Indian Telecommunication Bill, 2022- released to regulate Internet-based OTT (Over-The-Top) telecom services. It also consolidates three separate acts which currently govern the telecommunication sector- the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933, and The Telegraph Wires (Unlawful Protection) Act, 1950.
- Indore became cleanest city for the sixth consecutive year under Swachh Bharat Mission- Urban 2.0.
- Mulayam Singh, Samajwadi Party founder, passed away.
- Modhera- India’s First 24×7 Solar-Powered Village.
- Varanasi District Court rejected the plea to conduct carbon-dating of the disputed structure found inside the premises of the Gyanvapi Mosque.
- The Embassy of Japan, New Delhi, filed an application seeking a GI tag for Nihonshu/Japanese sake.
- SC rejected WhatsApp-Meta pleas against CCI’s probe into privacy policy of 2021.

- Rs. 936.44 crores penalty imposed on Alphabet-owned Google by CCI for “abusing its dominant position”.
- SC has agreed to examine a PIL, challenging changes made to the right to freedom of speech and expression by the first amendment to the Constitution in 1951.
- SC condemned the use of the ‘two-finger test’ on rape and sexual assault survivors and said any person performing such tests will be held guilty of misconduct. (State of Jharkhand vs Shailendra Kumar Rai @ Pandav Rai).
