About:
The Bonavero Institute of Human Rights is a dedicated institute for the study of human rights law, hosted by The University of Oxford, Faculty of Law.
The Bonavero Institute is committed to fostering world-class research and scholarship in human rights law, to promoting public engagement in and understanding of human rights issues, and to building a vibrant community of human rights scholars and practitioners, notably human rights lawyers and judges.
The Institute’s research explores human rights from a range of perspectives and supports vigorous and diverse scholarly discussion about human rights. It works openly and collaboratively with colleagues at Oxford and around the world.
The Bonavero Institute seeks to enrich Oxford University students’ engagement with human rights through opportunities to explore current issues in human rights, and to think about the application of human rights law in practice whist also seeking to improve the quality of their educational experience overall.
