Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with professional networking and relationship-building techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in private equity, investment banking, or financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
As a Private Equity Intern at Succession Capital Partners, you will gain hands-on experience and contribute to various facets of our investment process. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Networking and Investor Relations:
- Research and build relationships with global Limited Partners (LPs) and investors.
- Start building and maintaining a comprehensive database of potential investors and industry contacts.
- Deal Flow:
- Build proprietary deal flow by developing tools and techniques for scouting buyout targets.
- Reach out to companies for potential acquisition.
- Market Intelligence and Relationship Building:
- Review and analyze Private Equity (PE) reports specific to the Indian market, providing insights and summaries to the team.
- Arrange and conduct formal meetings with Indian Private Equity firms and ecosystem participants (investment bankers, Big 4 firms, lawyers, etc.) to gain a thorough understanding of the lower mid-market buyout landscape.
- Branding and Communication: Develop overall brand and communications strategy to enhance the firm’s market presence and visibility.
- Presentation and Documentation: Develop and update the fund deck, collaborating with senior team members to ensure it effectively communicates our value proposition and strategy.
- Entity Structuring: Work closely with lawyers, tax professionals, and other advisors to structure entities for potential acquisitions, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements.
