Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) is a leading Indian nature conservation organization committed to the service of nature. Its mission is to conserve wildlife and its habitat and to work for the welfare of individual wild animals, in partnership with communities and governments.
Role:
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assist head/officer in charge with assessment, analysis, and amendment of proposals about international wildlife treaties
- Undertake research into relevant policy matters and directives to assist in formulation of conservation plans
- Review reports from legal consultants reporting on cases registered under Wildlife Protection Act 1972
- Assist in planning and execution of moot court with prestigious university
- Review contracts
- Plan and work on the preparation of activities relating to wildlife conferences
- Work on preparation in litigation matters
- Maintain physical and digital files on relevant matters
- Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the head/officer in charge
Who can apply:

- are available for the part time job/internship
- can start the part time job/internship between 5th Sep’22 and 10th Oct’22
- are available for duration of 6 months
- have relevant skills and interests
Other Requirements:
- An enthusiastic, proactive person with a willingness to explore new ideas and find creative solutions to identified policy and legal issues in wildlife conservation.
