Role: Paralegal, NPAC Legal
PQE: Min 2 years in private practice or in-house legal departments, preferably with international/regional experience
Location: Taiwan/ Hong-Kong
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Law Degree holder preferred
- Languages: English and Chinese native, and Cantonese fluent preferred
- At least 2 years of experience and demonstrated competence in private practice or in-house legal departments, preferably with international/regional experience
- Proficient in using document management tools (e.g., Sharepoint) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail, research and writing skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
- Team player, able to think and perform creatively, critically and with integrity
- Positive outlook and growth mindset.
Responsibilities:
i) The ideal candidate is a legal professional who is a self-starter, solutions oriented, organized, agile and adaptable to changing work scopes and projects, which includes:
- Corporate Secretarial Support: assisting in matters of corporate governance; supervising and ensuring proper filing of corporate records, reports and other legal record-keeping; drafting and review of board resolutions and associated corporate secretarial documents; managing external corporate secretarial providers
- General Legal Support: administering the contract request inbox and review of commercial agreements (suppliers/customers); administering the claims inbox and handling claims related enquiries; drafting and reviewing general legal documentation, including NDAs, letters and notices; providing support to counsels for other general legal issues
- Database Administration: development and ongoing maintenance of a user-friendly corporate secretarial and legal database.
ii) A team player who can support the varied and challenging business needs primarily for Hong Kong/Macau while secondarily for Japan, Korea and Taiwan
iii) To propose and implement innovative solutions and process improvements to streamline legal operations.
